First off it must be said that this was a good movie. It was really entertaining, the story was great and it was a fun summer blockbuster. The twist was really good and fit the story. I do think, however that it missed an opportunity for greatness by not diving deeper into the story. The history of the characters, their relationship, and their effect on the earth could have had so much depth and the writers could have created this whole world of continuity to draw us into but didn’t. It is definitely open for a sequel though and I hope that they decide to do kind of an origins thing as well as present a real, super powered threat to the heroes. The themes of the movie were really powerful and the idea was great I just would have appreciated a little more.
