This one was not as good as the last week’s joker issue but it was still an interesting read. It is I guess as close to a penguin origin as we have gotten in any recent books but as the penguin is not a very exciting villain it was not a very exciting tale. I mean let’s call these books what they are, marketing for the upcoming batman movie. I don’t think that five batman based books in the five weeks surrounding the release of the movie is a coincidence, not that I blame them. They’re also smart because I wasn’t going to continue with this series until I saw that the next book would be Poison Ivy and who can resist her. If you can’t get enough of batman’s rogues and are looking for some light reading go ahead and pick these up but you aren’t missing much without it.
