So to explain what is going on, Top Cow has a contest called pilot season where they release first issues of 6 titles and based on fan voting, 2 get to continue as ongoing series. This year the books are Lady Pendragon, Alibi, Genius, Twilight Guardian, The Core and Urban Myths. I’ve seen the other titles on the shelves and flipped through them but none have really spoke to me until Urban Myths. This book was just so much fun, the world that Jay Faerber and Jorge Molina have created is just so bright and dream like. It was really creative and powerful. It’s a world with the greek gods set in a modern day city. It is so inventive and entertaining pick this one up and then go to the Pilot Season myspace page at www.myspace.com/pilotseason and vote so that I can get some more of Jack Medusa, that’s right Medusa’s son is the main character and he’s a private I. This was a great book and I can’t wait to read more.
