This is a very good story but it hasn't been the epic saga that it was billed to be. It also has not been nearly as wide spread throughout the titles as I thought it would be. The other titles bear the RIP log but don't really pertain to the story other than Batman's absence. I guess I was expecting another Gang Wars but this is not Gang Wars. This is a story that lives in the Batman title and that's all you need to follow it. That being said I am excited to see how it plays out and if Jesebelle is part of the Black Glove and how the Joker will impact this story. I think with this story it is going to be more about what comes next than this story itself. We heard a lot of buzz about battle for the cowl at the San Diego Comicon so now my interest is starting to move towards that. It raises the question of if Batman will actually be able to recover from this ordeal and how Robin and Nightwing will react. Lets remember that Nightwing is scheduled to be lobotomized so he might not even be there for the next arch. I seriously doubt that though. All in all this is a great story but I don't know if it falls into the major event category, but maybe Battle for the Cowl will.
